Creditors frequently report incorrect credit data to the credit bureaus every year. Unfortunately reporting errors can damage your credit rating. The most common errors are:
- Late payments
- Duplicate accounts
- Collections
- Judgments
- Charged-off accounts
- Some of these errors may not even be yours
The errors mentioned are just a few. There are various other credit errors to disputed. The fact is its up to you to prove them wrong! Creditors, usually, won’t correct any inaccuracies unless someone makes them aware of it. That someone should be you, it’s your credit!
